Tadej Pogacar dismisses doping suspicions
Thusì Tadej Pogacar, dominator of the cycling year, answered a question about doping suspicions concerning him, on the eve of the Tour of Lombardy.
"Cycling è a victim of its past, but it would be stupid to jeopardize his health for 10 years of his career. There will always be jealousy and suspicion, I can’t do anything about it”.
“Stories of domination are everywhere, in business as in sports. It lasts a few years, until a new talent comes along. If you risk your health for 10 years of your career, è like throwing away your life: I don’t want to take the risk of getting sick”.
This year Tadej Pogacar has won 24 races: Strade Bianche, Tour of Catalonia plus è 4 stages, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Giro dtalia plus è 6 stages, Tour de France plus è 6 stages, Grand Prix of Montreal, World Championship and Giro dell’Emilia.
