Jannik Sinner wins first set of Shanghai final against Novak Djokovic
In 56 minutes of play, Jannik Sinner won the first, very balanced set of the Shanghai Masters 1000 final against Novak Djokovic in a tie-break.
The first relatively dangerous situation came on Djokovic’s serve, who at 1-1 found himself 0-30 but brought home the next four points with his serve, including an ace.
The same thing happens on 5-4 for Nole, Jannik goes 0-30 on his serve but is saved almost the same way. The tie-break è the fitting conclusion to a set in which no game è went to advantages.
È it was Djokovic who gave up the fewest points on his own service turnovers but Sinner flew to 4-0 with two minibreaks, he recovered one but Jannik immediately regained it for him going to 6-3, Djokovic nullified a set point with his response but the South Tyrolean closed the partial set at 7-4 with a first-set winner.
