Cagliari, Tommaso Giulini promises new stadium: “It will be called Gigi Riva”

Cagliari has played in the historic Sant'Elia stadium since the 1970-'71 Serie A season, to date the only one played as reigning Italian champions. The facility è was abandoned in 2012 before returning to use between 2013 and 2017. In the short interval 2012-2013, the Rossobl's played in Quartu Sant'Elena, at the Is Arenas stadium. Since 2017, however, their home matches have been held at the'former Sardegna Arena, now known as Unipol Domus.
