Us Open 2024 finalist Taylor Fritz, in an interview with Tennis Channel, identified what makes Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz soì superior to the rest of the ATP circuit. The two young men have shared the Slams this season, showing absolute supremacy over all their opponents even at the tournament in Saudi Arabia, the Six Kings Slam.
"Nadal and Federer, like Djokovic, play these deep, angled points from the baseline, but when Sinner and Alcaraz do it, they do it by hitting the ball at least 15 km/h more".
For Fritz, this makes Sinner and Alcaraz almost unstoppable: "È crazy. One thing they both do really well then è simply that their defense è incredible, they can destroy the ball even from the mostù difficult" positions.
"I can be in a cross backhand exchange with any of them and if I turn forehand, I have to be perfect otherwise they manage to close the point with the next ball".
