No final for Lorenzo Musetti in the’”Erste Bank Open” (ATP 500 – prize money 2,470,310 euros) being played at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.
The 22-year-old from Carrara, No. 17 in the rankings and sixth seeded favorite, è was defeated 6-2 6-4, in just under an hour and three quarters of play, by British left-hander Jack Draper, No. 18 ATP and seventh seed.
On Sunday Draper will play for the title with Russian Karen Khachanov, No.24 ATP and third seed (in the quarters he conceded just five games to Matteo Berrettini, No.41 ATP), who in the lower semifinals beat Australian Alex De Minaur, No.10 ATP and second seed, 6-2 6-4, in exactly one and a half hours.
Francisco Roig meanwhile no longer è the coach of Matteo Berrettini. The player himself announced this with a message on social media.
