Max Allegri comes close to historic double at Capannelle Racecourse
More satisfaction for Massimiliano Allegri in horse racing. The Alma Racing stable of the former Juventus coach triumphed at the Capannelle Racecourse, winning the Ribot prize with the horse Mr Darcy, ridden by Tore Sulas, who preceded Amabile and My Eternal Love (also owned by the Livorno coach).
It could have been a historic Sunday for Allegri, who came close to a memorable double in the most eagerly awaited appointment of Italian galloping in the fall.
In the most prestigious test of the day, the Lydia Tesio prize, her mare Sun Never Sets è finished second behind only Sioux Life.
While waiting for a call from a big name in Italy and Europe, Allegri is enjoying his triumphs in horse racing, his second passion after soccer.
