MotoGP, the Valencia Grand Prix towards confirmation

A day after the devastating and tragic flooding in Spain’s Valencia province, Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna and patron of MotoGP, confirms to the Spanish media the Valencia motorcycle Grand Prix scheduled for Nov. 17 as the last round of the MotoGP World Championship.

"In principle, the original date will be kept. They are working to fix the access and facilities. The track has not suffered any damage" said Ezpeleta.

"As you all will understand, it would be insensitive and irresponsible to think about the event at this time. The goal must remain to help those affected and the circuit è currently being used as a relief center. As MotoGP, we must try to help in any way we can”.

“However,” adds Ezpeleta, “both the local authorities and MotoGP are committed to making sure that the event takes place as planned and will work tirelessly to achieve this goal. We will continue to provide additional information as it becomes available and will communicate as soon as possible any changes in the event's organization".
