Note confirmed by Carlos Ezpeleta, DS Dorna

After canceling the Valencia GP, everyone was waiting to know where the last round of the MotoGP World Championship would be held. Finally, through the words of Dorna Chief Sporting Officer Carlos Ezpeleta, è came the confirmation that it will be Barcelona to host the last act of the season.

"After realizing that it could not be raced there, we have been working on alternatives and we think the best option is Barcelona. We asked the government and they are willing. In 48 hours we could confirm it. The dates? We believe we can do it in the same period, November 15/17", the words of Carlos Ezpeleta himself to Sky Sport.

The Montmelò circuit, therefore, will become the scene of the last round of the season with MotoGP (Sprint and Sunday race) but not only. After the weekend, official testing for the 2025 pre-season will also take place. In short, Barcelona seems the best solution not to inconvenience anyone, including the MotoGP bandwagon.

At this point, all that is awaited is the official statement from Dorna to sanction the whole thing, which, according to Dorna Chief Sporting Officer Carlos Ezpeleta, should arrive within the next 48 hours: “We have asked the Catalan government to be able to organize the event there: they want to be aligned, both with the Spanish government and with the Valencia government before confirming the event, and we hope that confirmation will arrive in the next 48 hours. The urgency right now è Valencia, not to confirm our GP”.
