Obereggen will open turnstiles on Friday;

Obereggen opens, Dolomiti Superski opens. Obereggen (20 minutes from Bolzano-Bolzano Nord freeway exit on the A22 Brenner freeway) è one of the hearts of the Latemar ski area (with its Trentino sisters Pampeago and Predazzo) and the Dolomites.

Obereggen will be the first of 12 valleys in the Dolomiti Superski international ski carousel to celebrate 50 years since the establishment of Dolomiti Superski. In its tribute and to the prestigious anniversary, Obereggen will open the turnstiles on Friday, Nov. 29 at both 8:30 a.m. and at night at 7 p.m. and final party at the Apres Ski Loox downstream from the historic Oberholz slope. On Saturday, Nov. 30 at 8:30 a.m., the connection with its Trentino sisters Pampeago and Predazzo will open. You will also be able to ski in Obereggen (Tuesdays and Fridays from 7 to 10 p.m.) until March 2025.

EUROPEAN CUP. The 41st slalom will be held on Monday, Dec. 16 (first run 10 a.m., second run 1 p.m.) on the Maierl slope (maximum slope gradient up to 55 percent). The Obereggen European Cup will, as usual, constitute a prelude to the traditional World Cup slalom in Italy, this year at the slalom in Alta Badia on Dec. 22. In the 2023 edition, the slalom in Obereggen was won by Swiss Schmidiger, second by Frenchman Amiez, and third by Austrian Rueland. The chronicle of the race will be broadcast on the same evening of Monday, Dec. 16, by channel Rai Sport (number 48 on the remote control) starting at 11 p.m. and replayed on Tuesday, Dec. 17, also on Rai Sport at 6 p.m.

THE COMPRENSORY. The Latemar ski area covers 50 kilometers of slopes of varying difficulty, 2 snowparks with halfpipe, 1 boarder-cross, 4 toboggan runs, 3 snow playgrounds for children such as Brunoland and 13 alpine refreshments.

JUNIOR PROMOTION. To celebrate the new season, the Oberegger Latemar SpA lift company will be reserving a special promotion for junior skiers, raising the age to take advantage of the special ski pass from 16 to 18 years. This is a ski pass that provides a 30 percent discount on the price of daily and multi-day passes. A way to consolidate the bond between the younger generations, the historic ski clubs of Vicenza, Padua, Verona, Brescia, Mantua, Modena, and Reggio Emilia, to name but a few, who annually choose Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo, in one word: Latemar, as the ideal destination for one or more out-of-town trips.

“LATEMAR SIXPACK”. Ski or descend on the “abs” of Latemar. That’s the big challenge offered by Obereggen, a South Tyrolean resort 20 minutes from the Bolzano Nord-Val d’Ega highway exit, connected to the other Trentino resorts of Pampeago and Predazzo within the area. This is the “Latemar Sixpack” that is, skiing on 6 of the best adrenaline slopes in the presence of Latemar, the pearl of the Dolomites: among them the ’Oberholz and Absam Maierl in Obereggen; the Pala Santa and Agnello in Pampeago; and the Cinque Nazioni and Torre di Pisa in Predazzo.

“SKIMOVIE”. Among the top attractions, after enjoying great success among adults, teens and children, the Oberegger Latemar SpA lift company will once again offer “Skimovie” on the Toler slope in Obereggen. Skiers will be able to test their skills in an exciting parallel slalom. Two cameras will film the race along the 200-meter slalom. The course will be set up each day on slope 8 (Toler) and will be open free of charge from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the end, skiers will receive the time they took in the slalom and a video of the descent that they can download for free and share with friends. The è procedure è simple: scan your ski pass to start the slalom; upon completion enter your ski pass number on www.skiline.cc and watch your personal video.
