A gesture of great sensitivity by Paulo Fonseca and Milan Foundation
A gesture of great sensitivity;
.
As part of the activities promoted by Milan Foundation this holiday season, the Rossoneri team coach Paulo Fonseca went to the Istituto Penale per Minorenni Cesare Beccaria, on the outskirts of Milan, to meet with young people involved in rehabilitation and resocialization paths. After visiting the facility, the coach of the Rossoneri men’s first team participated in a moment of discussion with the boys, during which they è talked about value issues and parallels between everyday life and the world of soccer.
"In everyday life as in soccer – shared the ’coach – discipline and respect for rules are fundamental values in order to be able to achieve the goals we set ourselves. È then it is also very important to have the awareness that we are never alone, and that in times of need asking for help is not a reason for shame but for great awareness. Whether it is our loved ones, friends, professionals or teammates".
Afterwards, Fonseca è went to the five-a-side soccer field present inside the’Institute, where he led and participated in a training session with the boys themselves.
Also in recent weeks, Milan Foundation has promoted a series of visits to hospital facilities in Milan and Lombardy with Rossoneri footballers, soccer players and legends to surprise young patients in pediatric wards. Specifically, Francesco Camarda, Alessandro Florenzi, Matteo Gabbia, Christy Grimshaw, Marta Mascarello, Fikayo Tomori and former Rossoneri Marco Borriello have already taken part.
The initiative is part of the commitment in the area of social responsibility of Milan Foundation, which actively collaborates with the Rossoneri Club to promote projects and fundraising campaigns, with the aim of responding in a concrete way to the needs of the communities of reference, strengthening the link with the territory and promoting the development of solidarity interventions.
