Downhill to forget for Italy at the World Ski Championships in Saalbach. Winning the gold medal, in fact, è was American Breezy Johnson, who completed the event in 1:41.29, preceding Austria&#39s Mirjam Puchner by 15 hundredths and Czech Ester Ledecka by 21. Completing the top 5 were Cornelia Huetter and Lauren Macuga.

Sixth place went to Germany&#39s Emma Aicher, who finished ahead of Switzerland&#39s Corinne Suter. Surprisingly, in eighth place is Nicol Delago, who è is the best of the Italians with a gap of 76 hundredths. Only tenth, however, is Federica Brignone, who pays a gap of more than a second over Johnson.

As for the other azzurre in the race, Laura Pirovano finishes 13th, while Sofia Goggia closes even outside the top 15 with a delay of almost two seconds from the race winner.

It ends with a 15th place, finally, the return to the World Championships for Lindsey Vonn, who manages to precede the skier from Bergamo by only one hundredth.
