Federica Brignone: a runway in Courmayeur to celebrate the 'Tigre' Azzurra

Federica Brignone had an extraordinary season. She won the World Cup, also triumphing in the giant and downhill specialties. Now, another great recognition comes for her in her Aosta Valley. Slope number 14 in Courmayeur bears her name.
On March 30, the naming ceremony was held in grand celebration. Federica Brignone was the star of the event, excited and proud. Slope 14, now “Pista Federica Brignone” is located on the Checrouit slope. It stretches about 1,500 meters and has a maximum slope of 45 percent. It starts from Col Checrouit, at 2,260 meters, and offers breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc chain.
Federica is the first and only Italian skier to win the overall World Cup. She achieved this success through her determination and sunny disposition. Her career has inspired so many skiing fans. Her drive and commitment have become an example for new generations.
The slope named after Federica is a tribute to her triumphs and personality. During the inauguration, Federica said, “I am proud and excited about this recognition”. She thanked the mayor of Courmayeur and the president of Courmayeur Mont Blanc Funivie. “I can“t wait to try it. I invite everyone to ski on the Federica Brignone Slope” he added.
