Rafael Nadal delivers his verdict on Jannik Sinner

Rafael Nadal, in an’interview granted to the ‘Telegraph’, wraps up the affair involving the world No. 1, suspended 3 months after the Clostebol case.
“I am convinced that Jannik never tried to cheat or gain advantage over others. I am sure he is not only innocent but also an honest person,” Rafa said.
Sinner will be able to return to the court at the upcoming Internazionali d’Italia in Rome, scheduled from May 7. “This case was not good for our sport – Nadal added – But these things happen sometimes, accidents happen. I see it that way because I believe in Jannik. In the end he came out of the ruling innocent, and I don’t want to question it.”
“There are protocols that we all, throughout our careers, have followed. In this case the authorities had all the information at their disposal. I believe in the ruling. Jannik accepted the three-month sanction and therefore the case is closed. The protocols? If we don”t like how they work, the people involved should work to improve them”.
