In Madrid, Lorenzo Musetti ready to go toe-to-toe with Jack Draper

These are the words of Lorenzo Musetti after his success over Canadian Gabriel Diallo that lands him in the semifinals of the Madrid Masters 1000, where he will face British Jack Draper, world No. 6.
“I didn’t play my best tennis but the important thing was to win. Of course, I didn’t feel the ball like I did yesterday but I knew going into today’s match would not be easy, especially the mental aspect. However, I managed to stay focused until the’last point and I am proud to be in the semifinals”.
“I have never beaten Draper and I always say there’s a first time, hopefully it will happen here– added the Italian tennis player, who will enter the top 10 ranking from Monday.
We are good friends, we grew up together and it will be a pleasure to share this stage with him. I know he is having a fantastic season and I am happy for him but tomorrow will be a fight and I hope to put him in trouble”.
