Sbk, Nicolo Bulega beats Toprak Razgatlioglu in race-1 in Cremona

It goes to Nicolò Bulega the victory in race-1 of the Italian Superbike Round, scheduled this weekend at the San Martino del Lago circuit, in the province of Cremona. The Ducati rider, who started from pole position, crossed the finish line almost 3 seconds ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu, second on his BMW. Rounding out the podium was Bulega’s teammate, Spaniard Alvaro Bautista.
Between fourth and tenth place were three other Italians: Andrea Iannone (Ducati, Team Pata GoEleven) finished at the foot of the podium and was also the best among the independent team riders, Danilo Petrucci (Ducati, Barni Spark Racing Team), on the other hand, finished seventh while Axel Bassani, riding his Kawasaki-powered Bimota, finished in ninth.
In the overall standings, Nicolò Bulega confirmed his leadership by moving up to 161 points, while Razgatlioglu climbed to 135, thus 26 points behind. Among independent riders, however, the leader in the standings is Danilo Petrucci with 90 points, 26 more than Iannone, who collected 74 until the first race of the fourth round of the season.
The one in Cremona is not the’only weekend that will see Superbikes on track in May 2025: between Friday 16 and Sunday 18, in fact, the riders of the top series-derivative championship will be busy in Most, in the Czech Republic, before a month of rest for the Sbk caravan, which will return to Italy in mid-June for the Round of Emilia-Romagna in Misano.
