Trapani dreams big after beating Olimpia Milano

Interviewed by Fabrizio Fabbri in the “Corriere dello Sport,” Amar Alibegovic spoke about the ascent of his Trapani Shark: “The project that President Antonini had outlined to me, when I agreed to sign for Trapani, was solid, serious, with a view to the future. But to burn through the stages so quickly, no one believed it. In fact, I would only say him. But then after promotion, though a neophyte, he made the right choices. A balanced and talented team entrusted to the real great star of the group: Repesa. The coach is the added value.”

Trapani has many high-level athletes on the roster: “In the choice of players, the technical side was favored but also the human side. The Shark faced one of the few difficult moments in the season in the Italian Cup against Trieste: “That night in Turin remains an important, though negative, moment. there we did not show our face playing divided. A strong disappointment that, however, served to understand what direction we should have taken.”

Trapani therefore does not want to stop: “We are protagonists of this season from the first day. As newly promoted we immediately made a big noise showing that we are never afraid of anyone. It will have to be like that in the playoffs as well. The key will be not to distort ourselves and continue to play the way Repesa wants us to.
