Casper Ruud spends honeyed words for Jannik Sinner

During an interview given to the microphones of “Sky Sports“, the fresh winner of the Madrid Masters 1000 Casper Ruud, among other topics covered, indulged in a sweet message towards rival Jannik Sinner upon his return to the court in Rome after his three-month disqualification for the Clostebol case.

“I hope Jannik will be welcomed by many fans and that there will be great support for him. I can&#8217t wait to see him back on the field. I haven&#8217t seen him in person yet, however, I can&#8217t wait to go back and talk to him. It’s good to have him back on the circuit” began the Norwegian tennis player.

“I have talked a lot and been very open about what I think about the sanction imposed on Sinner. I have always tried to give him as much support as I can, because I realize it was not an easy time for him at all, but I am really glad he is back” added the world number six.

“He hasn&#8217t had to deal with any injuries throughout this process, so I hope he&#8217s in good shape. It’s very likely that Sinner will be back playing at a high level from the very beginning, so I hope he can have a good tournament for his return here in Rome” concluded Casper Ruud.
