Internazionali d'Italia, Luciano Darderi in the second round

Luciano Darderi, world number 46, beat China’s Yunchaokete Bu, number 73, with a score of 7-6 6-3 in ppco more than an hour and 50 minutes of play in today’s last first-round men’s singles match of the Internationals of Italy on the clay at the Foro Italico in Rome.

No break in the first set and it was Darderi who had to save the only two break points, in the third and 11th games. In the tie-break Bu goes up 4-2 but here the Italian-Argentine stringed together five consecutive points that gave him the first partial.

The first break of the match comes in the first game of the second set and it is in favor of Darderi who holds the lead without major problems and on 5-3 even makes a second break that gives him the victory. Now Luciano will have a very tough obstacle: Britain’s Jack Draper, world number 5.
