Dani Pedrosa in an interview with Dazn Spain made a frank analysis of the crisis of Pecco Bagnaia, who is paying for the fact that he has an uncomfortable teammate like Marc Marquez on his team. “There are two points, the psychological one and the media one. It all stems from the fact that Ducati chose Marquez: Pecco finds himself in an awkward situation and thinks, ‘Why do I have to be here with Marc now?’. I think it is not easy to digest”.

Pedrosa speaks from experience, after years as a teammate of the Catalan outfielder: “When the situation becomes real, and Marc starts to make fast laps, pole positions and wins, it goes to the next stage and Bagnaia starts to wonder why he can”t do the same things.

The basic problem is that “Marc and Pecco have two different styles. Marquez is the kind of rider who can use a suspension with a certain spring, then try another completely different one and still get the same lap time. Pecco, on the other hand, needs the bike to be exactly the way he likes it. If you change it, he struggles to find performance”.
