Serie A 2024-2025: Napoli-Cagliari, the likely lineups

We have reached the final act of Serie A 2024-2025, with the Scudetto still to be awarded. Napoli and Inter play it all on the final day on Friday, May 23 at 8:45 p.m. at the same time as the championship. Antonio Conte’s team will be engaged at the Maradona in Naples against Cagliari, which was saved on the last day, to consolidate the point lead that separates it from the Nerazzurri.
On the other side, however, Davide Nicola’s Cagliari, which, despite mathematical salvation, wants to end the championship on a high note by giving its fans one last big night. The Rossoblù are fresh from a 3-0 thrashing of Venezia, which earned them an arithmetic stay in Serie A for the following season as well.
For the challenge Conte is expected to opt for a 4-4-2 with Meret between the posts and Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Olivera and Spinazzola closing down the defense. On the four-man midfield line, Politano, Anguissa, Gilmour and McTominay. Finally, leading the Azzurri attack could be Raspadori and Lukaku.
As for Cagliari, Nicola is expected to confirm the 3-5-2 with Sherri protecting the goal and Zappa, Mina and Luperto making up the defense package. On the side lanes, Zortea and Augello go, with Adopo, Makoumbou and Deiolaa closing out the midfield. Finally, Viola in attack alongside Piccoli.
