Olimpia Milano: one good news and one decidedly bad news

L’Olimpia Milano is in the semifinals of the LBA playoffs. The red-and-whites have eliminated Dolomiti Trento in four games (3-1), confirming they have all the cards to go all the way. Coach Messina thanked, in the postgame of Game 4, Shields and Bolmaro, who were decisive in the convulsive final of the fourth act.

However, the real surprise was Brooks. The’former Cougars star looked like he wasn&#8217t even supposed to be on the red and white playoff roster. Instead, to the tune of great performances, he is now a key, starting five man.

“He is growing. The proof is the minutes we give him. He has had a major presence at rebounding, and sometimes we forget that, to get him some more open shots. If they had told me a few months ago that he was going to the base quintet in the playoffs, even for defense, I would have believed it little. He is working so hard, it was not easy in his first year in Europe”, Messina&#8221s own words towards Brooks.

Unfortunately, there’s also a bad news concerning Nebo. Out after game 1, the long player seemed destined to re-enter the semifinal series. Coach Messina has, instead, let it be known that “… there&#8217s no chance” of seeing him again. That&#8217s bad news for EA7, given Nebo&#8217s importance (on a physical level, especially).
