Shock at the British Grand Prix. Alex Marquez, winner of Saturday’s Sprint Race, went down immediately at the first corner of the first lap of the Silverstone track.

On the third lap fall also for Marc Marquez, who had taken the lead in the race. Immediately afterward, however, the red flag was waved because there was some oil left on the track after contact between Franco Morbidelli and Aleix Espargaró, who had gone down on par with Marquez on the first lap.

The red flag was waved.

Marshals immediately went to work to dry the oil stain on the track. The race will resume with a quick reconnaissance lap, start and number of laps reduced to 19 instead of 20.

Since the third lap has not been completed, according to Dorna, both Marc and Alex Marquez will be able to resume their race, returning to their grid positions respectively.
