Roland Garros: top 10 Emma Navarro disintegrated by outsider

Shock defeat for Emma Navarro at Roland Garros. The U.S. tennis player, number 9 in the world, was resoundingly defeated in the first round of the French Open by Jessica Bouzas Maneiro of Spain, number 69 in the WTA rankings. Navarro was unbelievably beaten in less than an’hour by the scores of 6-0, 6-1.
The Bouzas Maneiro served for the double 6-0, but with a jolt of pride the American managed to win a game before finally collapsing.
Nonetheless, it was a rout for Navarro, who had never previously faced the Iberian.
A resounding blackout for the star athlete, who was harshly criticized by insiders and fans on social media. The American won only 44% of the points with the first and 22% with the second, committing twenty-three unforced errors.
