PSG-Inter, the probable lineups of the Champions League final

Everything is ready for the last act of the UEFA Champions League 2024/25. On Saturday, June 1, at London’s Wembley Stadium, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan will compete for the most coveted trophy in European club soccer. On one side the still unrealized dream of the Parisians, on the other the hunger for glory of the black and blue team, back in the last act for the second time in three seasons. It will be a challenge loaded with talent, strategy and tension. Here are the probable lineups of the two coaches, Luis Enrique and Simone Inzaghi.

Paris Saint-Germain arrives at the final with a convincing run, culminating with a double win in the semifinals against Borussia Dortmund. Luis Enrique has built a PSG less dependent on individuals and more cohesive, although the star remains Kylian Mbappé, who is ready to bid farewell to Paris as a star player.

In goal will be Gianluigi Donnarumma, now a certainty between the posts. The four-man defensive line will consist of Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes on the flanks, with Marquinhos and Lucas Hernández in the middle. In midfield, Ugarte and Vitinha will be the team’s lungs, with Fabián Ruiz ready to provide balance. In attack, room for the trident composed of Ousmane Dembélé, Mbappé and Randal Kolo Muani, with Barcola and Asensio ready to take over.

After losing the final in 2023 to Manchester City, Inter wants to complete the journey with a European triumph that has been missing since 2010. Simone Inzaghi has consolidated an almost perfect tactical machine, with oiled automatisms and a compact group.

The Nerazzurri coach is expected to confirm the proven 3-5-2. Sommer will be the starter in goal, protected by the defensive trio of Pavard, Acerbi and Bastoni. On the outsides, space will be given to Dumfries and Dimarco, who are crucial both defensively and offensively. In the middle of the field, Barella, Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan guarantee quality, insertions and game vision. In attack, Lautaro Martínez will be flanked by Marcus Thuram, but watch out for the Arnautovic card in the running game.
