Heavy defeat for Anna Kalinskaya in qualifying for the main draw at the Berlin tournament. The Russian tennis player, former girlfriend of Jannik Sinner, was bowed out in her grass debut by German Ella Seidel, world number 109, at the end of a hard-fought match that ended in a mockery for the Muscovite.
Anna Kalinskaya was folded in three sets 4-6 6-4 7-6.The Russian seemed to have the situation under control, leading by one set and ahead 3-0 with two breaks in the second, but suffered the imperious comeback of the 20-year-old German, who favored by her opponent’s blackout, came back and won the second partial.
