Carlos Alcaraz spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about his relationship with Jannik Sinner: “I haven&#8220t spoken to him after Paris: we are friends, we know each other well, but we are not close friends. I imagine what he may have gone through, how much the Paris final hurt him”.

“The great thing about tennis, however, is that you never stop: you don&#8217t have much time to disconnect and reflect because there”s always another big match around the corner,” explained the Spaniard ready to start his season on the grass.

“Jannik will come back with a strength and motivation he has never seen before, also because Wimbledon is a tournament that exalts him, he can play very well on grass, and he is obviously a candidate to reach the final and win it.

“There are defeats in the finals that you assimilate more difficult than others, and I say this because it happened to me too – added Alcaraz -. But I know well the capabilities that Jannik has: I know that he will come back stronger, that he will learn from this situation, that he will come back to compete at the highest level even mentally as he always does. No, I don”t think I have an advantage over him now at the head level”.
