Antonio Faravelli goes over the counter with banker-golfers

Antonio Faravelli

Antonio Faravelli, winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria, in the Pavia region, soul of Cantine Vitea and creator of the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, was the absolute protagonist at the prestigious Castello di Tolcinasco Golf Club, at the exclusive invitation of AIBGOLF, the Italian Association of Golf Bankers. An elite event that saw wine become a protagonist alongside sport, combining passion, tradition and strategic vision for the relaunch of Made in Italy.

With more than a century of history behind them, Cantine Vitea represents one of the pillars of Oltrepò Pavese oenology. During the event, numerous participants tasted and purchased the winery’s award-winning labels, some of which were historically appreciated even by the great Giacomo Puccini.

Faravelli, with his usual energy, explained the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, receiving a standing ovation. His goal is clear: to link wine to golf to make it a tourism and cultural driver, capable of promoting Italian excellence in the world.

“Golf and wine – he said – are two perfect ambassadors of our territory. United they can tell the most authentic Italy, made of quality, passion and hospitality.”
