First taste of grass positive for Jannik Sinner: the world number one tennis player overcame in two sets with a score of 7-5, 6-3 the German almost namesake Yannick Hanfmann in the first round of the ATP 500 tournament in Halle, Germany.

The Blue, the title holder, had some uncertainty in the very balanced first set, which closed 7-5 thanks to a break in the 12th game. The second partial, on the other hand, was smoother for the South Tyrolean, who is regaining step by step his feeling for grass, a surface he still does not master with total mastery.

After saving two break points in the first game, Sinner broke serve in the sixth game, and that was enough to break his opponent&#8217s resistance, overcome 6-3.

The Blue, who also totaled 10 aces, will have to raise the level right away: in the second round there&#8217s Alexander Bublik, already beaten at Roland Garros but definitely fearsome on grass (it was in Halle that he defeated the Blue in the past).
