Federica Brignone reveals how she reacted after injury

These are the words of Federica Brignone, giant slalom world champion and overall World Cup winner, on the sidelines of an event in Milan to celebrate her 15 years as a testimonial for Banca Generali.

“Encouraging me during these months has been myself. I was really always quite positive, I approached it with such serenity. I realized that my whole entourage was more shocked than I was”.

“My entourage, my family anyway they are always there, they are super positive people, and so as they have always supported me this time too I had my family and friends close by,” added Brignone, who suffered a serious injury at the Italian championships at the end of the season.

“I have to admit, though, that all the people who saw me, even my friends, were really surprised at how I reacted. At the end my best friend said to me, but gosh you destroyed yourself and you’re the one pulling us up? In the end so this makes me very happy”.
