Italy also beats Japan: 7 out of 7 in Nations League

Seventh consecutive victory in the Volleyball Nations League for Italy. After Bulgaria and Thailand, Japan was also beaten 3-2 (25-23 16-25 25-15 20-25 19-17) in Hong-Kong, in the match valid for the third day of Pool 5.

The Azzurri recorded yet another outstanding performance overcoming some difficulties (second and fourth sets) against a Japan that was perfect at times with Eze and Nervini good at being ready to allow Italy to confirm itself at the top of the overall standings.

Best scorers for Italy Paola Egonu, Sarah Fahr and Stella Nervini, all with 16 points. Tomorrow will be a rest day for CT Julio Velasco’s girls, who will train ahead of Sunday, when they will face, at 2 p.m. Italian time, the hosts China.
