Ducati, Pecco Bagnaia third but disappointed: "Usual problem"

Despite his third place in the Mugello Sprint Race, it is a disappointed Pecco Bagnaia the one who presents himself to the microphones of Sky Sport: “I am very sorry for the result because I would have liked to give something more to the fans, but I was in trouble as usual. Always that is the problem and although in the dry lap I was able to improve on last year’s time, in the race I was running 3 to 4 tenths slower than last year. This is a great pity”.
“I see others doing things that I think I can do and instead I can–t anymore,– added the Ducati rider. “I try to get into the corners the way I think is right, but up front it doesn’t want to be where I put it, it tends to close so much, it was a very difficult Sprint because at one point to be on the podium I asked more from the bike than what it was allowing. It was essential, however, to be at least on the podium, for me and for everyone”.
Ahead of Sunday’s race: “For tomorrow we will try to take a step forward, but the problem always that remains and it is difficult to manage. Today with the soft in the back I had no dips, only problems with the front. We will see tomorrow the temperatures, but the problem remains the front and tomorrow, with double the distance, it will be even more of a problem”.
“I feel a little bit’less than my 90 percent, in my opinion if I were 90 percent I would be able to fight for the win. This track has always been good for me and now I can’t make a difference, in all the corners there’s always someone who does them better. That’s a shame: it’s a routine you have, with all the bikes you’ve ridden, at a track, then you come and you lose it. And you can’t even understand why. Today we will analyze and see” concluded Bagnaia.
