The’former Ducati rider Jorge Lorenzo in an interview to the podcast “Duralavita” bluntly analyzed the confrontation between Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia after the first part of the MotoGP World Championship. Even at Mugello, a track traditionally favorable to the Piedmontese rider, the number 93 dominated, returning to victory on the Tuscan track after 11 years.

“I agree that Marc is better in almost all aspects, and that&#8217s it. Physically he is better, in braking, in tire management he has become an expert, he is the best”, cut Jorge short.

Lorenzo, however, understands how Bagnaia feels these weeks: “I understand Pecco, because I have lived there and lived with motorcycles for years. That’s what I didn’t like and what I suffered for. In 2018 in Ducati I suffered a lot, until we changed things and I understood”.

“Pecco is complaining about his problems, he is admitting them, you can believe it or not, but he is saying what he feels. And I believe the story that Pecco is not happy, and without that he would probably be closer to Marc. But it’s also true that if you put the best rider on the best bike, then…”.
