Spain mourns the tragic death of young Zeben

Zeben’s fight against death came to a tragic end Thursday morning at Gran Canaria University Hospital Doctor Negrín.

The left fullback of the Las Palmas Atlético and Regional C team surrendered after more than two weeks: he was in very critical condition after the investment he suffered on the night of June 9 in El Puertillo (Bañaderos).

Just hours before the accident, the Gáldar-born soccer player, 23, had renewed his contract with the Canary Islands club.

“On behalf of UD Las Palmas we would like to express our most sincere condolences to his family, friends, teammates and all the people who shared the path with him in his sports career. The entire yellow family unites in grief over the loss of Zeben. Always in the heart of UD Las Palmas” the note issued by his club.
