Milan, pre-season gathering kicks off: not summoned Theo and Bennacer

Acc Milan officially opens the new season: on Sunday, July 6, the Rossoneri players will meet at Milanello for the gathering, and on Monday, July 7, the first training under the guidance of Massimiliano Allegri and the press conference to introduce the coach. An early start compared to Inter and Juventus, still returning from their commitments in the United States with the Club World Cup, which could give Milan an important advantage in their preparation toward the start of the championship.
As expected, there are some notable absences. Not present will be Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer, both returning from commitments with their respective national teams and currently the focus of market rumors. Theo, in particular, is very close to a transfer to Al Hilal: only the final agreement between the parties would be missing. Also out are Yacine Adli, who does not fit Allegri and the club’s plans despite his willingness to stay, and goalkeeper Devis Vasquez, now out of the project.
Among the new additions, the presence of new signing Samuele Ricci, who is ready to integrate immediately into Allegri’s mechanisms, stands out. Several youngsters will also take part in the gathering: confirmed Davide Bartesaghi, now permanently in the first team, along with Lorenzo Torriani and Lapo Nava among the goalkeepers, Vittorio Magni in defense, and midfielders Christian Comotto, Mattia Liberali and Silvano Vos, who will have the chance to redeem himself after a disappointing season.
Here is the complete list of summoned players:
-
Keepers: Maignan, Nava, Sportiello, Torriani
-
Defenders: Bartesaghi, Emerson Royal, Gabbia, Jimenez, Magni, Pavlovic, Thiaw, Tomori
