Italvolley, the 14 Azzurri for Week 3 of VNL

After the good results obtained in the first two weeks of the Volleyball Nations League in Quebec City and Chicago (6 victories out of 8 competitions played), the Azzurri’s path to qualification for the Finals in Ningbo (China) scheduled from July 30 to August 3 will start again from Ljubljana.

Monday, July 14, the men’s national team will leave at 11 a.m. from Venice and travel by bus to the Slovenian city, site of the third and final week. Giannelli and his teammates, then, will go in the hunt for qualification, starting with the debut match scheduled for July 16 at 4:30 p.m. against Serbia. Then the Azzurri will take on Ukraine the following day, also at 4:30 p.m., before playing after a one-day break on July 19 against hosts Slovenia at 8:30 p.m.

Italy will close out week 3 on Sunday, July 20, when it meets the Netherlands at 4:30 p.m. Technical commissioner Ferdinando De Giorgi, after a week of work in Cavalese, has released the list of 14 summoned athletes who will go to Slovenia for the last leg of the VNL intercontinental phase.
