Fiorentina, Stefano Pioli official: Rocco Commisso’s welcome back

Florentin soccer club: Stefano Pioli is back in the purple and is officially the Tuscan team’s coach for next season and the next two. The news was widely in the’air, but the club announced the Parmesan coach’s hiring late Saturday morning, complete with congratulations from Rocco Commisso. Who recalled, without going into too much detail, his lily-livered past dating back to particularly the tragic 2018 and the heartbreaking death of Davide Astori.
“ACF Fiorentina announces that the new coach of the purple first team is Stefano Pioli. Pioli, who returns to Florence after wearing the purple jersey as a player, between 1989 and 1995, and leading as coach the Gigliati from 2017 to 2019, has signed a contract that will bind him to the club until June 30, 2028″ are the words read in the lily club’s announcement.
The Fiorentina website, as mentioned, also released the message of best wishes and congratulations from President Rocco Commisso: “I am very pleased with the arrival of Stefano Pioli at the helm of the first team of Fiorentina, from the very first words we exchanged, I found in the Mister human values and desire to fight for this Club and this city that he knows so well and to which he is deeply attached. I, my family and all of Fiorentina welcome back Stefano wishing him all the best for this new adventure in the purple jersey”.
The staff that will assist Pioli in his third adventure at Fiorentina, his second as coach, has also already been announced. His deputy will be Andrea Tarozzi, himself a former purple player like technical collaborator Riccardo Taddei. The latter will be joined by Gianmarco Pioli (son of the first coach), Andrea Fioranelli and Aleksandr Nizelik. Goalkeeper trainers will be Alessandro Dall’Omo and Giorgio Bianchi, athletic trainers Alessio Butini, Matteo Osti and Roberto Peressutti, match analyst Andrea Tordi and Martino Vignali.
