MotoGP: Fabio Quartararo makes a promise to Yamaha

Fabio Quartararo became MotoGP World Champion in 2021. An extraordinary success that, however, was not followed up. In the following years, the French rider had several problems, so much so that he no longer had a chance to compete for the title.
Although Yamaha failed in recent seasons to give him a quality bike, Fabio Quartararo never thought of going elsewhere: “I never thought of abandoning ship when things went wrong. Yamaha is gave me the opportunity to join MotoGP when I was a nobody. Now I have to do my own”, his words to AS.
The 2021 World Champion points out how, recently, the bike has improved, at least in qualifying: “Last year, my best result in Q2 was a seventh place. Now we have obtained four pole positions and five front rows, but the biggest challenge is to repeat in the race. People think that Fabio is only fast on a dry lap, but that”. continues the French driver.
No doubt about who will decide his future: “I always ask my family and the people around me for advice, but you have to do what you feel. Many people have told me to go here or to go there, but if I decide to stay, it will only be my choice. And, if I ever decide to go elsewhere, I will do so without later regretting it”.
