Pecco Bagnaia furious, Davide Tardozzi recites mea culpa

Pecco Bagnaia is literally furious with the Ducati team for the wrong choice of tires in pre-qualifying for the Czech Republic Grand Prix. The Turin-based rider finished 13th and will be forced to run Q1 tomorrow to try to get into Q2.
“Positive day until we completely wrong strategy and now I am out of the top 10 – Pecco told Sky Sport – Overall the day was good, I was going very strong on the dry and also good in the wet. If we are already on the brink and in addition we complicate our lives in this way this makes me angry. I hope it will be dry tomorrow, tomorrow morning we will try a couple of things, then the time attack will be crucial. I know what happened and I am not happy”.
“We made the wrong choice of rear tire – team manager Davide Tardozzi replied -. Pecco would have wanted the medium, for various reasons we chose the soft. Correction in the race? There were a few laps, he needed a few more laps to get it up to temperature. His nervousness fits, we take responsibility for what happened. I hope and believe he can get into Q2 on Saturday morning. I think he would definitely get in there with the right tire”.
