Pecco Bagnaia in Brno treats himself to a dream qualifying, centering the first pole position of a 2025 so far rather stingy with satisfaction by also taking advantage of a fall by teammate Marc Marquez. And the Piedmontese rider, hot on his heels, wanted to thank Ducati for their support in these complicated months, dedicating the result to them.

“I want to dedicate this pole position to the Ducati team – said Bagnaia at the microphones of ‘Sky Sport‘ -If they had told me that qualifying would end this way, I certainly would have put a thousand signatures on it. Now it will be interesting to see how the Sprint Race will go, since I didn’t do so many pace tests. And in Brno it is not easy to be consistent, it will be important the choice of tires on an asphalt that eats them”.

An exclamation point on Bagnaia’s weekend, started with the usual problems since the Ducati bearer, furious at the end of the day, had been forced to start qualifying from Q1. “Doing so, however, gave me a hand – he confessed -. In this way I was able to understand how to make the most of the tires. Then in Brno making the most of it between time attack and race pace are two different worlds. But to give the team a pole position is always nice”.

Bagnaia took pole of the Czech Republic Grand Prix with a time of 1:52.303, while Marc Marquez despite falling was second at +0.219. Still good was Fabio Quartararo’s qualifying, third with his Yamaha that continues to perform significantly better on Saturday than on Sunday. He is followed by the very consistent Marco Bezzecchi, a reborn Joan Mir and Raul Fernandez. Only eighth was Alex Marquez, twelfth the returning Jorge Martin.
