Reigning champions of Italy Napoli has been the talk of the town not only because of the lavish buying campaign of a soccer market that has given coach Antonio Conte reinforcements of the caliber of Kevin de Bruyne, Sam Beukema, Noa Lang and just on Friday also Lorenzo Lucca. At the time of the presentation of the new official uniform, in fact, it was impossible not to notice an error in the English wording of the badge that presents them in English as “authentichic” instead of “authentic”. A typo that the club decided to keep for the rest of the season.

This was confirmed by Valentina De Laurentiis, who to ‘Corriere dello Sport’ was clear about the reasons why Napoli made this decision. “I could correct it, but I prefer to leave it as it is” explained the daughter of the club’s patron, who is in charge precisely of the official clothing line of the Neapolitan club.

“Those who work can stumble, the most important thing is to have the strength to react. I would like those shirts to become a signal for young people, who often get stuck because of the fear of making mistakes. By falling, one grows, learns, and lives for real. The city of Naples has been doing this for centuries” explained Valentina De Laurentiis.

Many collectors speculated that the “autenthic” jerseys of Napoli would be retired, becoming a rare treat as a sort of “Pink Gronchi” of soccer uniforms. But that will not be the case. And Valentina De Laurentiis added another reason, related to Napoli&#8217s choice to produce the shirts in house together with EA7: “In four seasons our turnover has quintupled. Thanks to an’intuition of my father, but also to our teamwork”. And now we will add a jersey with an error destined to become iconic.
