Clamorous return to the staff of Jannik Sinner, who has decided to recall Umberto Ferrara to the role of athletic trainer with immediate effect.
The decision was made in consultation with the world number 1’s management team as part of the ongoing preparation for upcoming tournaments, including the Cincinnati Open.
The’announcement was made Wednesday morning in a note: “Umberto has played an important role in Jannik’s development to date and his return reflects a renewed focus on continuity and performance at the highest level”.
Umberto Ferrara had previously worked with Jannik Sinner from 2022 to’August 2024, when the relationship between the two broke down but also with physiotherapist Gianluca Naldi.
