Luciano Darderi in the quarterfinals in Umag

After his triumph in the Swedish Open in Baastad Luciano Darderi, world number 46, continued his series of successes on clay by beating in the second round of the Croatian Open in Umag, ATP 250 tournament, Taiwanese Chun-Hsin Tseng, number 101, with a score of 7-5 6-0.

The first break points were saved by Darderi himself in the sixth game of the first set then, from 5-5, the Italian-Argentinean won eight consecutive games winning first the first set and then the match, conceding nothing more to his opponent.

An hour and a half the duration of the match and now Darderi in the quarterfinals will face 19-year-old home favorite Dino Prizmic, number 143 in the ATP ranking.
