Kimi Antonelli, so it does not go: difficult moment for the'Italian

Being a rookie in Formula 1 is complicated, even more so if you are at Mercedes. Kimi Antonelli is having a very challenging year, experiencing many joys but also objective difficulties.
At Spa, site of the Belgian GP, the young Italian star finished 16th, at the end of a weekend in which he always struggled. His glossy eyes are confirmation of how he is suffering in this period anything but lucky.
To date, Kimi Antonelli has earned one podium (at the Canadian GP, at the end of a showdown) and as many as four retirements. L’azzurro went to the points six times in 13 GPs. The comparison with teammate George Russell is merciless: on only one occasion did he do better than the Briton.
Data that underline how Kimi Antonelli is struggling enormously in the circus of the greats. Normal for a rookie. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff continues to reiterate his complete confidence in the 2006-class driver but it is clear that, at this point, the Italian could use some good performances to regain confidence and banish bad thoughts. In Formula 1 it is a snap to go from being a predestined driver to finding himself in some minor stable. Kimi Antonelli, though in his rookie year, needs a few more champion flashes.
