Great news for Federica Brignone: the champion underwent an’arthroscopic arthrolysis on her left knee and the surgery was perfectly successful. As early as Wednesday, she will begin her own recovery process again at the JMedical in Turin.

This is the note from FISI: “Federica Brignone underwent at the Casa di Cura ‘La Madonnina’ in Milan an arthroscopic arthrolysis on her left knee for an evaluation of the state of the joint almost four months after the operation last April 3. The surgery served to improve and speed up the World Cup holder“s joint range recovery.

“The perfectly successful operation was performed by Dr. Andrea Panzeri, President of the FISI Medical Commission. Brignone will start again from tomorrow his recovery course at the JMedical in Turin, according to the pre-established work schedule”.

“We had planned to do this arthroscopy to see the state of the joint and especially to improve the range of motion, which has reached 110° of flexion,” explained Dr. Panzeri. “We have cleaned up to increase the degrees of bending of the knee, in the coming days she will have to be a little bit more cautious in her movements, but the surgery was specially scheduled to speed up the time and allow her to work better. We also had a chance to check the internal situation of the knee to see if everything was okay. From tomorrow she will already be working with physiotherapy”.
