On a future return of Marc Marquez, Honda is speaking out

Marc Marquez is poised to become MotoGP world champion already in his first season with Ducati’s factory team. All his previous successes in the premier class of MotoGP are, however, attributable to Honda, from which come clear indications of a’possible future return to the base of the Catalan rider.
Talking about it was Alberto Puig, Honda HRC team manager, who in an’interview with the Spaniards of ‘AS’ did not mince words. “I see complicated a return of Marquez in 2027 – were his words -. We had arrived at a time when with Marc we had to separate. The good memories are there and will always remain, but there’s nothing else”.
“In all sincerity, the prospect of getting back together is difficult. When Marc decided to leave, he chose his own path. And the facts show that he did well, because with Ducati he is leading the championship. In Honda moreover we are really happy for him”, Puig added.
The fact remains that in two years we expect a lot of changes, but according to Puig they should not include Honda’s hiring of Marc Marquez. “All teams will be able to sign new contracts with different riders– he recalled -We will evaluate every possibility, and like everyone else we will try to make the best decision to choose the best riders for our future”.
