St. Jude Championship to Justin Rose

Justin Rose came out on top in the St. Jude Championship: he did so at the end of a breathtaking challenge, decided after three playoff holes against JJ Spaun, who was very good at giving him a hard time and was the author of two rounds of 65 on the weekend (-16 total).
To win his 12th title on the PGA Tour – his first since the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2023 – the 45-year-old English native of Johannesburg, South Africa, had to perform genuine miracles, including four consecutive birdies from 14 to 17 when the trophy seemed to be fading.
In the playoff, he made two more birdies on hole 18, both of which were decisive: the first was not enough because Spaun hit an identical one, but the second handed him the victory, after facing that hole four times in a row.
Reduced from four top 10s on the season and a Masters playoff loss to Rory McIlroy, with this triumph Rose rises to fourth in the FedEx Cup standings.
