Champions League Preliminaries 2025/2026: Club Brugge-Salzburg, likely lineups

A match between Club Brugge and Salzburg is also on the schedule for the return match of the third preliminary round of the new Champions League. The match will be played on Tuesday, August 12, at 7:30 pm. Nicky Hayen’s team starts from a favorable position, having won the first leg 0-1 thanks to Rome Vermant’s decisive goal when there was only a quarter of an hour left until 90′
.
The hosts will have to defend this minimal advantage, with the benefit of being able to do so in front of their own fans. The lineup, depleted by the sale of Ardon Jashari to Milan, has already played three days of the championship and is therefore in good shape.
The challenge will be held at the Jan Breydelstadion, built between 1974 and 1975 and home to the home matches of both Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge. The facility, which was renovated between 1997 and 1998 for the 2000 European Championships organized by Belgium and the Netherlands, has a capacity of just over 29,000 spectators.
