Malick Thiaw says goodbye to AC Milan and goes to Newcastle

Acc Milan soccer club: Malick Thiaw is leaving the Rossoneri after three seasons, moving to Newcastle. The Magpies themselves confirmed the deal on Tuesday evening, which will give the German defender his first Premier League experience after years in the Bundesliga with Schalke 04 and those in Serie A at Milan.
“Newcastle United – reads the website of the Bianconeri d’England – is able to confirm the signing of defender Malick Thiaw, who was signed on a long-term contract by Italian club AC Milan. The 24-year-old German national, who plays mainly as a central defender, becomes the Magpies’ third first-team summer signing. Malick collected 85 appearances in all competitions during his three years with the Rossoneri, including one against Eddie Howe’s side at San Siro in the UEFA Champions League”.
“His only goal for AC Milan came in Europe’s top competition last season in a 3-1 win over Real Madrid. Thiaw began his professional career with the Schalke 04 national team, where he played in the youth ranks before making his Bundesliga debut at age 18 in 2020. The defender has three appearances with the German national team at international level to his credit. This season Malick will wear the number 12 shirt of Newcastle United”.
Already on the fringes of AC Milan and a longtime object of protest from Rossoneri fans, Thiaw has already praised Newcastle: “I am thrilled to link up with this amazing club, I can’t wait to start training and meet my new teammates. Coach Eddie Howe has already made me understand how he understands soccer and what he wants from me, it is a very inspiring feeling”.
