Como, Alvaro Morata is already excited: "We will build important things"

Alvaro Morata is already excited about his new adventure in Serie A, wearing the Como shirt. Fresh off his transfer to the Larian club, the Spanish striker underwent his first training session in the Azzurri jersey on Wednesday and has already raised the bar for his and Cesc Fabregas’ team’s ambitions.
“I can’t wait to start working with the rest of the team – Morata told Como’s official social channels -. Together we can build something important and achieve prestigious results on the field. I am thrilled to be able to wear this wonderful jersey, and to have the opportunity to share with the group emotions, battles and victories”.
Morata, who arrives in Como with a palmarès that speaks of two championships won with Juventus, as many Spanish championships with Real Madrid, two Champions Leagues and a European Championship with Spain, does not, however, want to stand above the group. “Soccer is a team sport – he stressed -I am not someone who lives it alone, rather I want to live this new journey with my new teammates both when things go well and in adversity. Suffering together is a component of the game”.
Reduced from a not-so-happy experience at Galatasaray, before the move to Como had come a public outburst from Morata himself. “There were times when the word given and the respect of core values were not kept. Until the end, commitments made were not honored, to the point that I was left with no choice but to give up part of my salary and other contractual rights that I had already earned through my work. Not recognizing and compensating what I earned is, for me, unacceptable and contrary to the values of fairness and professionalism in which I believe” he had thundered via social.
