After his victory with Terence Atamane, Jannik Sinner is ready to take the court in the final of the Cincinnati Masters 1000. The world number one will challenge for the umpteenth time Carlos Alcaraz, who eliminated Alexander Zverev in the semifinals.

The match between l’Azzurro and the Spaniard is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 18 at 9 p.m. Italian time (3 p.m. local) on the ‘P&G Center Court’ of the ‘Lindner Family Tennis Center’ in Mason. The match will be viewable on Sky Sports One, Sky Sports Tennis, Sky Sports 4K and streamed on NOW.

There are 13 previous matches between the South Tyrolean and the Murcian, who leads 8-5: the most recent, of course, dates back to the Wimbledon final, which saw Sinner prevail in four sets, becoming the first Italian in history to triumph at the Championships.

Sinner has defeated Alcaraz on four other occasions: in the final at the ATP 250 Umag 2022, in the semifinals at the Masters 1000 Miami 2023 and at the ATP 500 Beijing 2023, and in the round of 16 at Wimbledon itself in 2022.

Alcaraz’s last win with Sinner was in the final of Roland Garros 2025: the Spaniard has won twice more in the final (Internazionali d’Italia 2025, ATP 500 Beijing 2024), 3 times in the semifinals (Roland Garros 2024, Masters 1000 Indian Wells 2024 and 2023), once in the quarterfinals (Us Open 2022) and once in the second round (Masters 1000 Paris 2021).
